One spacious sphere staring out to another, holding each other in orbit. One allows the other to be as it is, and both have come from the same planetary dust. Just as our Moon circles the Earth — pulling on the tides, swaying and changing the body — so Tethys pulls on responsible Saturn, giving it’s gravity wider purpose and affect. Named after Saturn’s third (of 53!) icy moons, Tethys looks out to it’s partner planet in forever devotion, yet complete detachment.

Saturn’s presence in our system represents a type of isolated structure, discipline, maturity, and a wise responsibility. It’s moons remind us how even in isolation, there is attachment, but even in attachment, there is separation. What the two spheres share is gravity, as well as a rosey ring of alchemical love — they are separate, yet bound together by elements of transformation.

Though Saturn’s elements feel hard or heavy, they are blessings! we must remain detached from that which we orbit. We must also remain mature — responsible for that which we’ve taken into our own field. We must remain aware of the gravity running between us, and the physical affects that we have on one another.

Pull things in, orbit around Beauty, but don’t get too attached. Celebrate your satellites! Remember that which binds you, but don’t lose your individual sense of purpose. It’s needed here.
